Our Mission & Goals
Sunnah Foundation Hajj and Umrah is a community organisation dedicated to ensuring that pilgrims have a safe and fulfilling experience during their journey to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. The organisation’s mission is to provide a comprehensive and authentic Hajj and Umrah experience that is in accordance with the guidelines of the Quran and Sunnah.
The goals of the Sunnah Foundation Hajj and Umrah include:
- Ensuring that pilgrims are provided with accurate and authentic information about the Hajj and Umrah rituals, as well as the history and significance of these acts of worship.
- Providing a safe and secure environment for pilgrims throughout their journey, from their departure to their return.
- Ensuring that pilgrims have access to high-quality accommodation, transportation, and other essential services that are necessary for a comfortable and hassle-free pilgrimage.
- Providing guidance and support to pilgrims throughout their journey, including assistance with visa applications, travel arrangements, and other logistics.
- Emphasising the importance of spiritual purification and personal growth during the pilgrimage and encouraging pilgrims to reflect on the lessons and values of Islam that can be learned from this experience including engaging with people of different cultures and backgrounds during the pilgrimage.
Overall, the Sunnah Foundation Hajj and Umrah aims to provide a transformative and life-changing experience for pilgrims, while also upholding the highest standards of safety, authenticity, and adherence to Islamic principles. The organisation provides a range of programs and initiatives designed to help pilgrims connect with each other, share experiences, and support each other throughout the journey. By doing so, the organisation seeks to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Hajj and Umrah, as well as the values and teachings of Islam.

The story behind Sunnah Foundation
The Sunnah Foundation Hajj and Umrah was founded by Sheikh Abdul Salam Zoud, a prominent Australian Muslim scholar and community leader, with the aim of providing a high-quality, authentic Hajj and Umrah experience for Muslims in Australia
The foundation is committed to providing a comprehensive, all-inclusive package that takes care of all aspects of the pilgrimage, from accommodation and transport to spiritual guidance and education. The goal is to ensure that each pilgrim has a life-changing experience that is done correctly and in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
The inspiration behind the foundation also was Hajj Abu Ibraheem’s own personal experience of performing Hajj and Umrah. He felt that the experience was often marred by poor organisation, inadequate facilities, and in particular a lack of attention to the spiritual dimensions of the pilgrimage.
The guides of Sunnah Foundation collectively believed that Australian Muslims deserved a better Hajj and Umrah experience, one that was organised according to the guidelines of the Quran and Sunnah and focused on spiritual growth and transformation. With this vision in mind, they established the Sunnah Foundation Hajj and Umrah, which has since become one of the most trusted and respected Hajj and Umrah providers in Australia.
Today, the Sunnah Foundation Hajj and Umrah continues to provide an unparalleled Hajj and Umrah experience for Muslims in Australia and soon plans to expand to other parts of the world, with a team of experienced and knowledgeable guides and organisers who are dedicated to ensuring the spiritual and physical wellbeing of each pilgrim.
The Future
Sunnah Foundation Hajj and Umrah is looking to expand its services beyond Australia and offer transformative programs for youth, catering to special needs and families both in Australia and in other parts of the world.
In addition to its Hajj and Umrah services, the foundation will look to offer a range of programs and initiatives designed to deepen the spiritual and educational experiences of Muslims of all ages. These include youth leadership programs and other educational opportunities aimed at helping young Muslims develop strong foundations in their faith through the “7 circuits” program.
The foundation is also committed to catering to the needs of special groups such as those with disabilities, the elderly, and families, ensuring that everyone can have an authentic and meaningful Hajj and Umrah experience.
With its focus on spiritual growth, education, and community engagement, the foundation is aiming to inspire a new generation of Muslims who are deeply committed to their faith and eager to make a positive impact on the world.
