اللهُ أكبَرُ، اللهُ أكبَرُ، اللهُ أكبَرُ، سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبونَ، اللّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ في سَفَرِنَا هَذَا البِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى، وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ ما تَرْضَى، اللّهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا سَفَرَنَا هَذَا وَاطْوِ عَنَّا بُعْدَهُ، اللّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ في السَّفَرِ، وَالْخَليفَةُ في الأَهْلِ، اللّهُمَّ إِنّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ، وَكَآبَةِ الْمَنْظَرِ، وَسُوءِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ في الْمَالِ وَالأَهْلِ.

Transliteration

Allaahu ‘Akbar, Allaahu ‘Akbar, Allaahu ‘Akbar, Subhaanal-lathee sakhkhara lanaa haathaa wa maa kunnaa lahu muqrineen. Wa ‘innaa ‘ilaa Rabbinaa lamunqaliboon. Allaahumma ‘innaa nas’aluka fee safarinaa haathal-birrawattaqwaa, waminal-‘amalimaa tardhaa, Allaahumma hawwin ‘alaynaa safaranaa haathaa watwi ‘annaa bu’dahu, Allaahumma ‘Antas-saahibu fis-safari, walkhaleefatu fil-‘ahli, Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu bika min wa’thaa’is-safari, wa ka’aabanl-mandhari, wa soo’il-munqalabi fil-maaliwal’ahli

Translation

Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the Most Great. Glory is to Him Who has provided this for us though we could never have had it by our efforts. Surely, unto our Lord we are returning. O Allah, we ask You on this our journey for goodness and piety, and for works that are pleasing to You . O Allah , lighten this journey for us and make its distance easy for us . O Allah, You are our Companion on the road and the One in Whose care we leave our family . O Allah , I seek refuge in You from this journey’s hardships, and from the wicked sights in store and from finding our family and property in misfortune upon returning.

اللّهُـمَّ اجْعَـلْ في قَلْبـي نورا ، وَفي لِسـاني
نورا، وَاجْعَـلْ في سَمْعي نورا، وَاجْعَـلْ في بَصَري نورا، وَاجْعَـلْ مِنْ خَلْفي نورا، وَمِنْ أَمامـي نورا، وَاجْعَـلْ مِنْ فَوْقـي نورا ، وَمِن تَحْتـي نورا .اللّهُـمَّ أَعْطِنـي نورا.

Transliteration

Allahumma ijAAal fee qalbee noora, wafee lisanee noora, wajAAal fee samAAee noora,wajAAal fee basaree noora, wajAAal min khalfee noora, wamin amamee noora ,wajAAal min fawqee noora, wamin tahtee noora, allahumma aAAtinee noora.

Translation

O Allah, place within my heart light, and upon my tongue light, and within my ears light, and within my eyes light, and place behind me light and in front of me light and above me light and beneath me light. O Allah, bestow upon me light.

أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ الْعَظِيمِ، وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيمِ، وَسُلْطَانِهِ الْقَدِيمِ، مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ، بِسْمِ اللهِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَّامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ،

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ.

Transliteration

‘A’oothu billaahil-‘Adheem, wa bi-Wajhihil-Kareem, wa Sultaanihil-qadeem, minash-Shaytaanir-rajeem. [Bismillaahi, wassalaatu] [Wassalaamu ‘alaaRasoolillaahi] Allaahum-maftah lee ‘abwaaba rahmatika

Translation

I seek refuge in Almighty Allah, by His Noble Face, by His primordial power, from Satan the outcast. [In the Name of Allah, and blessings.] [And peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.] O Allah, open before me the doors of Your mercy

Translation

In the Name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask for Your favour, O Allah, protect me from Satan the outcast

Transliteration

Labbaika Allaahumma ‘Umrah

Allahuma hathihi Umratun la riya’a feeha wala sum’ah

Translation

Here I am O Allah

(in response to your call) making Umrah

Stand, face the Qiblah and recite:

O Allah, there is no showing off, nor seeking repute in this Umrah

Transliteration

Labbayk Allaahumma labbayk, labbayk laa shareeka laka labbayk, ‘innal-hamda, wanni’mata, laka walmulk, laa shareeka laka

Translation

I am here at Your service, O Allah, I am here at Your service. I am here at Your service. You have no partner, I am here at Your service. Surely the praise, & blessings are Yours, & the dominion. You have no partner

Dua upon seeing the Kaabah

اللَّهمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلامُ
وَمِنْكَ السَّلامُ
فَحَيِّنَا رَبَّنَا بِالسَّلامِ

Transliteration

Allahumma ‘ant alssalamu, wamink alssalamu, fahayina rabbana bialssalam.

Translation

O’ Allah, You are the peace, and from You is the peace, so Our Lord greets us with peace.

Tawaaf - From the Yemeni Corner to the Black Stone

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا في الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً
وَفي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Transliteration

Rabbanaa ‘aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanatan wa fil-‘aakhirati hasanatan wa qinaa ‘athaaban-naar

Translation

Our Lord, grant us the good things in this world and the good things in the next life and save us from the punishment of the Fire

When proceeding to Maqaam-e (Station of) Ibraheem

Arabic

(وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلَّى)
صلِّ ركعتين
واقرأ في الركعة الأولى: الفاتحة وسورة
(قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ * ….)
واقرأ في الركعة الثانية: الفاتحة وسورة
(قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ * ….)

Transliteration

Wattakhidhoo mim-maqaami ibraaheema musalla

Translation

“And take the station of Ibraaheem as a place of prayer”.
Pray 2 units and after The Fatiha:

Recite Surah Al Kaafiroon in the 1st Rakat

Recite Surah Al Ikhlas in the 2nd Rakat

When drinking from Zam Zam, say this supplication:

Arabic

اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا
وَرِزْقًا وَاسِعًا،
وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ

Transliteration

Allāhumma innī as’aluka `ilman nāfi`a, wa rizqan was’ia, wa shifa’an min kulli daa’.

Translation

O Allah! Grant me beneficial knowledge, an abundant provision, and a healing from every disease.

Approaching Mount Safaa

(إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا وَمَنْ تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ)

نبدأ بما بدأ الله به.

Transliteration

Innas-safaa wal marwata min sha’aa’irillaahi faman hajjal baita ‘awi’tamara falaa junaaha ‘alaihi an yattawwafa bihimaa wa man tatawwa’a khairan fa’innallaaha shaakirun ‘aleemun. Nabda’u bimaa bada’Allahu bihi

Translation

“Verily! As-Safaa and Al-Marwah are of the symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or Umrah of the house to perform the Tawaaf between them. And whoever does good Voluntarily, then verily, Allah is All-Recogniser, all-knower.

“We begin with what Allah began with”.

Transliteration

Allaahu akbar, allaahu akbar, allaahu akbar.

Laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa Huwa ‘alaa kulli shay’in Qadeer, laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu ilahaahu, ‘anjaza wa’dahu, wa nasara ‘abdahu, wa hazamal ‘ahzaaba wahdahu.

Translation

Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, He fulfilled His Promise, He aided His slave, and He alone defeated Confederates.

The Day of 'Arafah

The Prophet (SAW) said: The best invocation is that of the Day of Arafat, and the best that anyone can say is what I and the Prophets before me have said:

Arabic

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ
لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ,
.وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء قدير

Transliteration

Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa`alā kulli shai’in qadīr.

Translation

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, Alone, without partner, to Him belongs all that exists, and to Him belongs the Praise, and He is powerful over all things.

Funeral Prayer for the deceased

اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْه، وَعافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْه، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ، وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْماءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدْ، وَنَقِّهِ مِنَ الْخطايا كَما نَقّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الأَبْيَضَ مِنَ الدَّنَسْ، وَأَبْدِلْهُ داراً خَيْراً مِنْ دارِه، وَأَهْلاً خَيْراً مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، وَزَوْجَاً خَيْراً مِنْ زَوْجِهِ، وَأَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَأَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذابِ القَبْرِ، وَعَذابِ النّارِ.

Transliteration

Allaahum-maghfir lahu warhamhu, wa ‘aafihi, wa’fu ‘anhu, wa ‘akrim nuzulahu, wa wassi’ mudkhalahu, waghsilhu bilmaa’i waththalji walbaradi, wa naqqihi minal-khataayaa kamaa naqqaytath-thawbal-‘abyadha minad-danasi, wa ‘abdilhu daaran khayran min daarihi, wa ‘ahlan khayran min ‘ahlihi, wa zawjan khayran min zawjihi, wa ‘adkhilhul-jannata, wa ‘a’ithhu min ‘athaabil-qabri, wa ‘athaabin-naar

Translation

O Allah, forgive him & have mercy on him & give him strength & pardon him.

Be generous to him & cause his entrance to be wide & wash him with water & snow & hail.

Cleanse him of his transgressions as white cloth is cleansed of stains.

Give him an abode better than his home, & a family better than his family & a wife better than his wife.

Take him into Paradise & protect him from the punishment of the grave [and from the punishment of Hell-fire].
